It’s a quarter to midnight and all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring not even the Claus…

  1. Great shot of the handsome or pretty cat. Don’t know if your cat is male or female.

    • Claus is a tomcat, and a stealthy hider! Bob was standing right next to the ironing board and telling me that he couldn’t find that darn cat… and I didn’t see him either! :D

  2. Goodnight and sleep well ! :)

  3. Ok. Now I know his name. Claus it is.

  4. Three cushions? You are pampering that cat.

I’m right here, in black and white…
Now will you please turn out that light?
    Mrraoow; )

  6. For months, I couldn’t figure out why the cable thingie that sits on top of my computer tower under the desk was on the floor some mornings. Eventually I wandered through in the middle of the night and sat down to check something – and put my foot right into a bundle of warm fur. Turns out Dixie had been sleeping under the desk, on top of the warm power strip. You never know with these critters!

    Claus is quite handsome!

    • Linda, they do have a way of heat-seeking don’t they? Yes, I have to agree, my little kitty boy is handsome. ;) Thank you!

Is this the same cat that I last knew? The kitty that tears at furniture?

  8. This reminds me of a kitty I used to have. The lower 1/2 inch of his nose was white, though. He was a big, sweet tom cat. Yours looks comfy!

  9. That’s a nice kitty and he seems to know how to find the right place!!!

    • Yes, and he always does it right when we want to go to bed! We have to put him out, or lock him in the mud room each night. If we do not, he will come in and start walking all over the top of us in our sleep… and purring quite loudly!

  10. Kitties find the darnedest places to hide for a nap. I miss having a kitty.

  11. Lynda, we used to have a cat and a dog. Got another dog a few years later, (about 5) we were a three pet family for a long time. Old dog died (at 16 — a few weeks shy of 17) got another dog a couple years later. A couple more years later we had a hurricane hit the house, cat died (she was 14 or 15) . Told the kids after the house was rebuilt (we lived upstairs as the first floor was destroyed) that we would get another cat. While at the vet picking up meds for one of the dogs, vet mentioned they had a rescue 9 month old Aussie that needed a home. We adopted the Aussie. Now we were a family of three pets again, 3 dogs. Moved to SC, oldest dog died last May (she was 18) now we have two dogs. The dogs are 11 and 9…and large dogs. Think we will just continue on with these two. For now, adding another pet into the mix isn’t in the cards.
Sorry, no easy answer, thought a ‘brief’ history would explain it a bit.

  12. My, do you think Claus is so royal that he could feel a pea under all of those cushions (Princess and the Pea, by Hans Christian Andersen)?

    • LOL! We do think alike, Lori! As I told Tom, he is related to royalty. His great, great, great, great Grandcat was owned by the Princess of Pea herself! ;)

  13. There’s something about cats, they just ignore you. He is so content.

    • He is, and yes, they do don’t they? But he is smarter than the rest. He will come home when I call his name, and he runs for the door when I ask him if he want’s “Me-out.” I think he is clever. ;)
