Lynda she is in the very bottom of the lower left. I generally can spot a cat or dog “in brush” if need be. 🙂 Been around cats and dogs too long. They really do know how to hide and peak around objects, bushes, furntiure or whatever. Cute photo by the way. Now do you have a “find the dog?”

She is pretty, and I was recently told that she is rare. Most orange cats are toms!

Ha! Yes, you do Kate! Did you also notice that the little gate on the porch is made from one half of an old screened door? 😉

    • Lynda says:

Glad you enjoyed it, Laurie! It sees that many of my friends have had fun with this brain activity, and I have a few more I’ll post from time to time! 😀

    • Lynda says:

Yes, Rara! She is the nearest thing to feral without being totally wild. She will follow me about the woods on walks, cry to me to pet her, but sadly, will not tolerate being held!

Celi, the stove is on the porch because I currently do not have a kitchen on the Mountain. We have been working feverishly to get the demo done so we can get on with the reconstruction! (Working one day a week slows this process down quite a bit.)

This stove is very a very old one that the Octogenarian left with the house. It still works, but I have my eye on a dual fuel model. We lost power for a week in the tornado swarm two years ago, and I’d like the ability to cook with LP even when the electric is not working… also, I prefer the electric convection for baking. In an emergency, though I will be grateful for just being able to cook! (BTW, Sears sold me a lemon 4 years ago, and they are replacing it per the conditions of my extended warranty) 😉

I’m with you regarding cooking on the porch! We do have a smoker for that (now that the opossum has been set free!). AND, I have often considered getting a ring stove that runs off of propane for cooking and canning outside! 😀

I have too! anything to keep the smelly foods outside in the hot summer! also with you on electricity for baking. I cook on the woodstove when we have not power, which is such a bonus, deep deep in my heart i want an old fashioned range that runs on wood, heats the water, bakes, cooks – the lot.. I would rip my kitchen apart to fit one of those if i found one.. new they are THOUSANDS… sigh.. c

I’d marry ANYONE who owned a red Aga!
Cats are always on the wrong side of the door.
We have three, none of them at all feral – they will sit on a knee as and when they choose, but they will NOT be picked up lol.

    • Lynda says:

      Isn’t it fantastic!
Janet, my kitties here in burbs are total lovebugs! They want it all, all the time. Very rare that they don’t want to be picked up and held… even when I don’t feel like it. LOL!

Yes, Mary, she is Miss Kitty. We inherited her and Neville when we bought the property. She is very pretty but quite skittish and won’t be held. AT ALL. 🙂

So how about that? Go on; say something!
